It Takes a Village to Feed a Village!
While we can’t pack meals together for Feed My Starving Children this year, the need has never been greater to raise funds to cover the cost of feeding God’s children. Due to COVID-19, FMSC has quickly switched to machine packing to try to keep up with demand which keeps increasing every day due to the pandemic. Not only has the food need increased, but machine packing comes at a higher cost than volunteers–$.05 more per meal. FMSC is currently machine packing 15,000,000 meals a month (half their pre-pandemic capacity) and if you do some math, that $.05 adds up fast. Our team felt more compelled than ever to help pay for those meals and we hope you do, too!
During the month of November, we are hosting a virtual fundraiser: It Takes a Village to Feed a Village. $10,000 feeds a village for a year and generous donors have already joined in to turn this into a matching gift campaign which means for every $1 you donate, it’s actually $2!
We are inviting you to be part of the village that feeds a village by making a donation towards our $10,000 goal that will be doubled by the matching gift campaign. Donations can be made online by heading over to give.fmsc.org/iowacity and clicking on the DONATE NOW button or by mail. Please make checks out to IC MobilePack and mail to PO Box 865, Iowa City, IA 52244.
We couldn’t do this without each of you! Please take a minute to watch a COVID-19 video update from FMSC partner Heart for Africa and THANK YOU in advance for being the gift of hope to all the children who will receive the meals we provide! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDoUxjDsLUE&feature=youtu.be
